Obamas Visit Florida, Gulf Seafood Edible?

Parature Adds Support to Facebook Business Pages

As Facebook grows in popularity across the globe, businesses are getting the hint.  Tomorrow F acebook will be launching a new application called Parature. 

 

According to an article today in Yahoo! News, Parature will enhance a company’s ability to provide quality customer service and support to anyone on Facebook.

Google, Verizon, and Web Pay Tiers

Google and Verizon have been receiving harsh criticisms over the last week regarding their potential plans to end network neutrality and force companies to pay a fee in order to maintain the speed of their web sites.

 

The internet has always been a level playing field, inspiring the term “Network Neutrality.”  What that means is, whether you are looking at YouTube or a random website your cousin designed, the content is equal and moves at an equal pace online. (This has nothing to do with the speed of your personal internet connection)

Meatless Mondays to Reduce Water Consumption

Did you know that 1,800 to 2,500 gallons of water are used to create just one pound of beef?

  

 

According to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, significantly more water is being used to grow food for cows and other animals than is used to grow grains and vegetables. 

The meat industry uses millions of gallons of water every year, but its also responsible for approximately 1/5 of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.
