Did you know that 1,800 to 2,500 gallons of water are used to create just one pound of beef?
According to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, significantly more water is being used to grow food for cows and other animals than is used to grow grains and vegetables.
The meat industry uses millions of gallons of water every year, but its also responsible for approximately 1/5 of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

Why Did We Use Dispersants?
Even though BP managed to capture a quarter of the 5 million barrels of oil that spilled into the Gulf of Mexico, scientists are discovering that dispersants used to fight the spill broke down the crude enough to permeate and harm wildlife.
The biggest oil spill in history was halted on July 15th with a highly technological cap that successfully stopped the flow of oil. BP’s problems, however, seem to have only just begun.
Now the big questions remains, “where is the rest of the oil?”

BP Oil Spill Stopped!
After many months of failed attempts, BP has finally succeeded in stopping the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, at least for now. This is only the beginning.
