Human Errors: The Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

Officials from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Minerals Management Service raised questions about the events leading up to the rig explosion, the likely causes of the explosion, and the failed blowout preventer, at a hearing on Wednesday. The answers to those questions told a dark story.

Blowout Preventer Errors Found, ‘Top Hat’ Close

As a new, smaller containment dome is set to gather the oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the week, new discoveries regarding the cause of this devastating spill are being announced each day.

Transocean and Halliburton: Blame the BP Drilling Plan!

Apparently, there is nobody to blame for the Deepwater Horizon oilrig explosion or the 5,000 barrels worth of oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico.
