Actually Danielle, there is a certain percentage of people (I think between 10% and 15%) who cannot experience 3D movies, shows etc…Do you think you could be in this category?

If you can see the 3D, but it gives you a headache, you are in another large percentage of people. In many of those who have already tried 3D viewing, dizziness and headaches occur over long periods of time. Obviously, the amount of time it takes for the symptoms to occur in these people will differ, but it is consistently shown that the 3D viewing, and maybe the glasses in particular, can cause headaches and/or dizziness.

We are at the point where 3D televisions that can be used WITHOUT 3D glasses are available, but they are very small and require the viewer to look at the screen from about a foot away for maximum viewing potential. This is ridiculous, but it is a good sign. These 3D TVs that work without glasses are designed to literally aim the picture at each eye of the viewer, which is why you currently need to stand about a foot away.

In time, we will probably be watching our sports and movies and video games on table-like televisions that display their images on their surfaces, like in Star Wars.

Well Watching table TV would be cool, then I could have four walls with something to sit on!. I have no idea about the eye thing, I have perfect vision…maybe I just hate wearing glasses, which I do. I really don’t do anything that is 3D because I just know the few times that I did I did not feel well. It reminds me of the movie the Blair Witch Project. I got dizzy and threw up after the movie because of the motion of the camera. Maybe it is all tied together. I guess I will wait for the table top TV, I will just stick with HD for now.

I slowly moved in the HD world….I don’t think that I will like 3D to be honest. I guess because I don’t like the glasses. They make me dizzy. I have been to IMAX 3D shows, I just don’t like them. I think it was during the Grammys that a video tribute was made to Michael Jackson and the video was in 3D. I just didn’t like it. In your research did you read anything about being able to turn it on and off? I am just wondering if there would be something like HD where you have to have a speacial box to view the 3D and it will be like additional channels, like the 900’s for the HD. I guess I will have to watch TV and someone’s house who got it before I bought it! Anyone want to invite me over??!! LOL!
